Case Study 031: M.M.
Introduction: The subject of this case report is an 18-year-old female, referred to by the initials M.M. The case study was conducted in April 2023.M.M. presented with an S-curve scoliosis, with a curvature of 45 degrees on the top right curve and 20 degrees on the bottom left curve. Symptoms included forgetfulness, stress, headaches, cold hands and feet, melancholy, straight neck, spinal rotation, uneven shoulders, and a posture leaning to one side.
Treatment: The treatment plan included a 2-week intensive care treatment, disc hydration therapy, neck and spinal traction treatment, dormant muscle activation treatment, neck c-curve restoration treatment, and motor skill training. Additionally, M.M. was prescribed posture correction exercises and spinal flexibility exercises to aid in her recovery.
Post-Treatment Results: After the treatment, the curvature was reduced to 31 degrees on the top right curve and 15 degrees on the bottom left curve. This represents a significant improvement in M.M.’s condition. The treatment was successful in managing the pain and reducing the symptoms associated with scoliosis.
This case study demonstrates the effectiveness of the applied treatment plan in managing scoliosis and associated symptoms. Further studies are recommended to validate these findings across a larger population.
