Case Study 016: N.T.

Introduction: In December 2019, a 50-year-old female patient, referred to as N.T., was diagnosed with scoliosis. The initial assessment revealed an S-curve with a 54-degree curvature on the top right and a 29-degree curvature on the bottom left.

Symptoms: N.T. experienced a range of symptoms including back pain, shoulder pain, and left hip pain. Additional complaints were forgetfulness, cold hands and feet, uneven shoulders, a straight neck, and spinal rotation.

Treatment: N.T. underwent a 2-week intensive care treatment aimed at managing scoliosis. The treatment protocol was designed to address the pain and correct the spinal curvature.

Exercises: The treatment included abdominal strengthening exercises and posture correction exercises. These exercises targeted the core muscles and aimed to correct the postural imbalances contributing to the scoliotic curvature.

Outcome: Post-treatment measurements indicated a reduction in N.T.’s spinal curvature, with the top curve decreasing to 44 degrees and the bottom curve to 25 degrees. The treatment led to an improvement in pain and symptoms associated with scoliosis.

This case report documents the clinical approach and outcomes of the scoliosis treatment provided to patient N.T., focusing on the alleviation of pain and correction of spinal curvature.
