Introduction: This case report documents the treatment of a 16-year-old female patient, K.T., who presented with scoliosis. Initial assessment revealed an s-curve with a 65-degree top right curve and a 49-degree bottom left curve. The patient’s right hip was elevated by 3 degrees compared to the left. Symptoms included back pain, uneven shoulders, a straight neck, and spinal rotation.

Treatment Approach: K.T. underwent a 2-week intensive care treatment plan focusing on scoliosis management. The treatment protocol included neck and spinal treatment. Exercises prescribed were aimed at posture correction, restoring the natural neck c-curve, and enhancing spinal flexibility.

Outcomes: Post-treatment evaluation showed a reduction in curvature to 56 degrees for the top curve and 36 degrees for the bottom curve. The patient reported alleviation in back pain and an improvement in shoulder alignment and neck posture. Additionally, there was a notable improvement in spinal de-rotation, contributing to the overall symmetry and balance of the spinal structure. This de-rotation effect is a critical component in the management of scoliosis, as it directly impacts the patient’s posture and comfort.

Discussion: The treatment’s success in reducing curvature and pain suggests that the implemented approach is effective for scoliosis management in adolescents. The combination of traction and spinal flexibility treatments, along with targeted exercises, may offer a non-invasive alternative to surgical intervention in similar cases.

Conclusion: Patient K.T.’s case highlights the potential benefits of a comprehensive treatment plan for adolescent scoliosis. Continued research and case studies are essential to understand the long-term outcomes and efficacy of such treatments.
