Introduction: The patient, referred to as A.S., is a 12-year-old female who presented with symptoms of scoliosis in November 2020. The initial diagnosis revealed an S-curve of 35 degrees on the top right curve and 23 degrees on the bottom left curve. The symptoms included uneven shoulders, a posture slightly leaning to one side, and a straight neck.
Treatment: A.S. underwent a 2-week intensive care treatment plan. This included spinal and neck traction therapy, neck c-curve restoration treatment, disc hydration treatment, and dormant muscle activation treatment. A.S. was prescribed a series of exercises aimed at strengthening her abdominal muscles and correcting her posture. Alongside these treatments, A.S. was also given dietary suggestions and an order-made corset was recommended for her.
Outcome: A significant reduction in the curvature was observed. The top right curve reduced to 23 degrees and the bottom curve reduced to 21 degrees.
Conclusion: The combination of intensive care treatment, specific exercises, and dietary changes can significantly reduce pain and curvature in patients like A.S. Further studies are needed to validate these findings in a larger population of patients with similar symptoms.
